- napsaterm 3.5 is based on napsaterm 3.3 as found in the beta distribution of
- AmiTCP-3.0. It includes a few small changes and one fairly major change by
- Rob Knop (rknop@cco.caltech.edu).
-
- Two executables are included, "napsaterm" and "napsaterm_notek". The former
- is the full version of napstaerm; the latter is napsaterm without the
- Tektronics 4010 emuation. If you have no need of tek4010 graphics, you may
- rename "napsaterm_notek" to "napsaterm" and place that in AmiTCP:bin.
-
- Thanks to Kevin Miller for some beta test work.
-
- Changes from napsaterm 3.3 to 3.5:
-
- 1) A tek4010 emulating window has been added.
-
- o Vector, Alpha, Incremental, and Point-plot modes are (at least partially)
- supported.
-
- o As of version 3.5, the GIN cursor is supported.
-
- o Some GraphOn enhancements, e.g. block fill mode, are also supported.
-
- o Two menu items have been added to the VT100 screen, "To VT102" and "To
- Tek4010." When a window (tek or vt) becomes the one to receive data from the
- host, it may be brought to the front and activated (depending on settings of
- the config menus on the tek4010 window). However, if you click in a window,
- or bring it to the front, it does not necessarily make it the one receiving
- data from the host. The "To Tek" and "To VT" menu items in each screen switch
- that, as can certain escape sequences from the host.
-
- o Any bug reports on the tek4010 modification should be sent to
- rknop@cco.caltech.edu.
-
- 2) ansi_LNM added to the "setup" menu. Sometimes changing the state of this
- flag can improve the operation of the terminal's newlines under Unix when
- running directly over the serial port. It does not seem to be necessary when
- napsaterm is used with AmiTCP.
-
- 3) Support for the VT100 application keypad has been added. Under the Setup
- menu, if you select "Application" for Kepad type, VT100 escape sequences will
- be sent to the host instead of characters when you hit keys on the numeric
- keypad. This is handy for text editors and the like that use the keypad as a
- function keypad.
-
- 4) A small number of additional minor enhancements and bugfixes to the VT100
- emuation.
